SHARDS OF ILLUSION @ APE

Reality is subjective. Held together by fragments of memory stored in the depths of our unconscious, it can be shattered at the slightest provocation. This series of photo-mosaic murals examines this fragility, an essential aspect of the human condition.

My process is simple. Like a child on the floor with a jigsaw puzzle in hand, I cut, tape, layer, and shape images of the physical world to assemble my truth, to explore universal truth, and to create a way of seeing the unseen. Neither a computer nor Photoshop was used. This series was first exhibited in 2013 at A.P.E. Gallery in Northampton, Mass.
